Out-going Commanding Officer (CO), 93 Battalion, Effurun, Lt-Colonel Alli Keffi, has said militancy is now a thing of the past in Delta State, because Warri had reclaimed its former status as glorious city.
Keffi said this at a send forth party organised in his honour by Senior Special Assistant to Delta State governor on Land Security, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, weekend.


He described Delta State indigenes as hospitable people, noting that his stay in the state was successful, because of the cooperation he enjoyed from the people generally.
While describing the state as really the big heart of Nigeria, he described Warri as the big heart of Delta State, and expressed regrets that communal clashes, youth restiveness and militancy had given it a bad name.


He expressed joy that Warri in particular, was bouncing back to her former glory, emphasising that the return of night life to the area was an eloquent testimony to the fact that peace has fully returned.
Also speaking at the ceremony, Oborevwori, described Keffi as a very diligent officer, “who contributed to the peace we enjoy in the state today. We decided to host the man, because he is a man who has done very well for Delta State in terms of security."
